Robins will not use a box with a small round hole. They want a view.
This one has an open front and a standing rod, which is what robins, wrens, pied wagtails and spotted flycatchers actually look for. Tuck it low in a hedge or against a wall with cover in front, and you are far more likely to get a tenant than with a closed box.
What you get
Open-fronted design — the shape robins prefer
Standing rod for landing and keeping watch
Natural untreated timber, ready to paint if you would rather
Shelter through winter, nesting come spring
