Spent forty pounds on seed just to feed the squirrels?
The perch is weight-activated. A songbird lands and nothing happens. Anything heavier — a squirrel, a magpie, a wood pigeon — and the ports close under its own weight, then reopen the moment it gives up.
No settings, no adjusting, no springs to fiddle with. It simply knows the difference between a robin and a rat.
